Hiking boots

Choose from an enormous range of outdoor activities to ensure the perfect mountain holiday. Whether your idea of fun is relaxing in the sun next to a beautiful Alpine lake surrounded by breathtaking scenery or hurtling down a challenging mountain bike trail, we will make sure you have a brilliant time. We will book all the activities – all you have to do is enjoy your Alpine adventure.

Mountain Biking

Morzine is in the middle of the largest mountain biking area in Europe. Specially adapted ski lifts take the uphill struggle out of mountain biking, and a wide range of trails provide excitement for all levels of bikers. The Super Morzine ski lift is only 100m from our door and will whisk you straight up to the heart of the system. Kids will enjoy the trails around Les Gets, while experts will find the championship downhill courses in Les Gets and Morzine provide a true adrenalin rush. For the seriously fit there is the Porte de Soleil circuit to Switzerland and back. We will organize an experienced guide and equipment hire, but make sure you book in advance.

River Activities

Fun in the foam. Choose between:

White water rafting
Hydro speeding (swimming down the rapids clinging onto a kind of big float)
Hot-dogging (a large canoe)
Cannyoning (abseil off a bridge then jump down waterfalls and swim downriver – superb!)

Climbing

Good sites suitable for all levels. We organise guides, equipment and teaching. Trips to Mont Blanc and Chamonix can also be arranged (1 hour drive).

Paragliding

Try a tandem flight with an instructor, or we’ll book you into a 5-day course (half days only) and you’ll be doing a solo flight by morning three. An experience you’ll never forget – as Antonia can verify!

Hiking

A walker’s paradise. It is hard to find a more beautiful backdrop than the stunning and varied landscapes of the French Alps. We are keen walkers ourselves and will provide maps, advice, guidebooks and approx timings. We can also hire you a guide, or for longer walks, book you a magical night in a mountain refuge.

Adventure Parks

Push yourself to the limit in a challenging tree top adventure course. Terrifying but completely safe, this should prove a real test of courage. From age 6 to 106! There are kids, beginners, intermediates and utterly petrifying advanced courses.

Golf

A fantastic eighteen-hole par 70 course in Les Gets has you teeing off at 1500m facing Mont Blanc. There are 5 other courses within an hours drive, including the Royal Park Championship Course at Evian (40 mins), which is a world-class facility. Club hire and coaching are available.

Sunbathing and Swimming

With awesome mountain backdrops the swimming lakes at Montiond or Les Gets provide the perfect venues for some scenic relaxation. Try the water park in Morzine or how about a day on the beach at Lake Geneva?

Water-skiing or boating

Let us book water-skiing trips on Lake Geneva. Good value for money, long sessions and great tuition. For a change, why not try wake boarding? Transport included.
We can also book boat hire from Thonon on Lake Geneva (30 minutes), with sailing boats or small motorboats available.

Excursions

Evian (40 mins) – fill your bottle from the Evian spring, relax in the Thermal baths or take a paddle steamer to Switzerland.
Yvoire (45 mins) – A beautiful medieval town nestled on the edge of Lake Geneva.

Samoens and the Sixt Fer a Cheval (30 mins)- A medieval village and breathtaking horseshoe gorges, in the next valley from Morzine. Take the summer pass road over there if you are feeling brave.

Lausanne- reached by paddle steamer from Evian.
Annecy (1hr 15 minutes) – famous for it’s gorgeous old town, a network of canals and its stunning lake setting.

For the Kids

A day’s trip to the fantastic aqua park in Switzerland, with some of the best water slides you are ever likely to encounter- highly recommended.

The kid’s farm and pony trekking centre just down the river from the swimming pool in Morzine is a must for small children and boasts an excellent playground.

Visit the goat village at Lindarets (15 minutes). A high mountain village completely overrun with friendly and hungry goats.

Trampolines, summer tobogganing, quad biking, devil karting and mountain boarding are also all available.

Many of the previously mentioned facilities, the pool at Morzine, the swimming lakes and the adventure parks provide great venues for entertaining kids. All are safe with lifeguards and supervised activities especially laid on for children.
